Wild black cherry Dish by Wood Turner, Anne Bowden who has been practicing for over 10 years at her Oro-Medonte studio.

Created from mature cherry trees, harvested and cured on the artist's own forest acreage. Cherry is a favourite medium for many wood turners, accepting smooth contouring while revealing intricate grain designs and developing a deeper rich colour over time. Australian wax to finish.

Bowl made from upcycled oak hardwood flooring that has found new life as hand-wrought art was created by Wood Turner, Anne Bowden who has been practicing for over 10 years in her Oro-Medonte studio.

The oak segments have been accented with thin strips of dark walnut between the assembled pieces and also form the continous wave design. The long lasting hemp oil finish, holds a lovely patina.

For the Leonard Cohen fan in your life, master engraver George A. Walker has created a memorable book of 80 wood engravings hand printed on 100% rag archival paper commemorating the 80th birthday of the Canadian icon. Arranged chronologically, the engravings were inspired by Cohen's poems, novels and songs and include portraits of those who shared in his life, like Andy Warhol and Jimmy Hendrix. The wordless biography originated as a limited edition of 80 copies hand printed in Walker's studio in Leslieville, Toronto, in 2014.
